I appreciated the small fridge in the room, pressure in the shower and how quiet it was at night. I also walked to town and it was easy and fun. There’s a lot to do in this part of the world! Mandy and Patrick were fantastic hosts and made us feel so welcome. The pod was nice and cosy (it was lovely having such a large bed) and the sunset was stunning. Mandy’s breakfast was lovely, including homemade jam and marmalade, and it was great to be able to hire bikes to explore the vineyards.

We loved everything about our stay at Lochmara Lodge. We stayed for two nights with our family and It was a little bit of a splurge, but did not disappoint! The location was stunning, the fact that you got there by water taxi made it remote and uncrowded, and there were plenty of things to do (hike, paddleboard, kayak). Also, the food was delicious and the staff was accommodating and helpful.
