There are 2 indoor hot springs baths and an open-air bath at the property. Everything was very clean and orderly. Beds were very comfortable and duvets very warm in colder November weather. Lovely common area and a nice shared kitchen with free evening rice and morning porridge. Access to private onsen which was a real treat! This was some of the best value for money I’ve seen - highly impressed! Completely exceeded my expectations.

Super nice staff that were helpful and greeted us! such a nice experience. I would recommend this place to anyone staying in Kyoto. The Location was also in a quiet neighboorhood, which wasn't too far away from attractions and stuff.

Free shuttle bus (every 15 to 20 mins) between hotel and Osaka station is very convienieient and big plus for the hotel. Staff are gorgeous and willing to help guests.

Bathroom facilities are shared, and the public baths are open 16:00-22:00 and 06:00-09:00 daily. we could get great experience in Ekoin , vegetarian food was also good. All monks and staffs are friendly and warm welcome. They are good looking too! 😊 Participate all programs of the temple was great. we joined meditation , morning service , fire ritual and night cemetery tour.

The hotel features a hot tub, room service and free WiFi throughout the property. Location was ideal. Right in the heart of Gion near restaurants and train stations. A short walk to the main shopping precinct and Nishiki Market. Very friendly staff. The chocolate shop a couple doors down is very good!

Units are complete with a private bathroom, while certain units at the ryokan also provide guests with a seating area. The interior and finish were amazing , the blend of Japanese and Scandinavian furnishings were so elegant. Staying at the traditional Japanese room gave us a true Japanese experience.
