The breakfast, as others have said, is very exceptional (seafood based so not vegetarian). I guess the host was a chef or something of the sort for 30 years. The facilities were clean, and there were no problems. It was a convenient location for us because there were fireworks nearby on the night of our stay.

Beautiful traditional Japanese home that has been refurbished with modern toilet, shower, bath and even an outdoor onsen. Parking onsite. I was granted a late check in at 10pm due to a late arrival. We used it as a base to explore the Setonaikai Park. The home was very conveniently smacked in the middle of all the different islands with easy access to the mainland in the north (Hiroshima) and south (Ehime)

The property is wonderful and I’d say probably the nicest place I’ve ever stayed. We spent three nights here. Wish it had been longer! This is partly due to the exceptional service. This is a family run establishment, mother and two daughters. They were so kind and friendly and went out of their way to help us with every aspect of our trip there. One of the daughters kindly ordered taxis for us when we needed and made great touristic suggestions. She and her husband even took us to help us hire bicycles near by for our day trip cycling. The food was out of this world - both breakfast and dinner - and everything was explained to us so we knew exactly what we were eating and how to eat it! The baths were a special treat also - one of them was sea water! Honestly, we were genuinely sad to leave as we didn’t want to say goodbye to these lovely people. Thank you for making our holiday so special.
