Like the town of Matera is out of this world, and the accommodation made our stay even more enjoyable. The host kept in touch with us before our arrival. Once we arived, he welcomed us and gave us useful advice on the tour round the town as well as which restaurants were worth visiting. The room Gas a jacuzzi, which is just awesome. And what is more, our breakfast was delivered rught in fron of our room and it could be eaten in the bed or at the table. The room is also equipped with a coffee maker and a kettle so you can make tea or coffee anytime.

El Corte San Pietro está situado en Matera Sassi (patrimonio de la UNESCO) y ocupa un edificio histórico renovado tallada en piedra. Excelente ubicación. Preciosa y cuidada ambientación. Es una experiencia inversiva en la vida de Matera antigua.Desayuno muy bueno, atención de calidad. Fernando, el dueño, hace sentir que cada pasajero es importante. Totalmente recomendable.

Vetera Matera está muy bien situado en el barrio de Sassi di Matera, Matera, a 7 min a pie de Palombaro Lungo, a 300 metros de Matera Cathedral y a 8 min a pie de MUSMA Museum. We absolutely loved our stay at Vetera Matera. We had a very late arrival, around 11pm, and the staff were beyond accomodating. Our transfer shuttle met us at the packing garage and the communication was seemless. Giovanni was at reception upon check in, and was an absolute delight. Francesco was also very helpful, with wine and snacks ready when requested even at such a late arrvial time. Both were so proud of the hotel and the area, full of great tips and lots of history about the hotel and the area. Our room was amazing, we had a terrace which was so great to see the view late at night. The breakfast was lovely too, and we were sad we were only there for one night! Can not recommend this hotel enough. A great location to discover the town, with the friendliest of staff! (Fillipe who carried our bags up and down those stairs and drove us back to our car was amazing as well).

Staying at MOYΣEION felt like stepping back into the world of Magna Graecia. The welcome ritual performed by Davide made the whole experience really special and set the tone for our stay. The service was outstanding, the staff incredibly helpful, and the cave pool was just breathtaking—my friend Pete especially loved the statues surrounding it. The togas, rituals, and attention to detail made the whole visit immersive and memorable. I also recommend booking an Ape Car tour through the front desk when you arrive—it’s the perfect way to explore Matera. Plus, if you call ahead, they’ll even arrange a pickup from the bus station, which is really convenient.

La dimora di Don Antonio se encuentra en Matera, cerca de Casa Grotta nei Sassi y Matera Cathedral, y tiene bañera de hidromasaje y jardín. Alojamiento moderno y muy bonito. La ubicación genial , justo al lado del centro. Nos gustó mucho. Tiene todo lo necesario para alojarse.

The geographical situation is ideal, in the very center of the Sassi district. The staff is very friendly, smiling, always at disposal. And the garden and terrasse offers a truely wonderful view of the district. We realy felt like we were on vacation. The bedroom was big, the bath very relaxing. Wish we would have stayed longer !

Dimore dei Mercanti está muy bien situado en el barrio de Sassi di Matera, Matera, a 9 min a pie de Matera Cathedral, a 600 metros de MUSMA Museum y a 9 min a pie de Casa Grotta nei Sassi. The host helped us change the room as the first one was smaller than our needs. It was clean and close to the tourist attractions. Breakfast was very good!
