We had a fantastic time at Valter & Dritas and found it to be great value! It is located in the hills, just above Theth and provides stunning views of the valley. A peaceful and tranquil environment to relax in. The guesthouse is run by the family, who are excellent hosts and very genuine lovely people. They provided breakfast and dinner throughout our time there, which was home cooked and delicious. There was a good range of food available and we enjoyed slowly exploring the menu during our time there. We had 3 full days in Theth, during which we hiked the Valbona Pass, Blue Eye Kaprre and Grunas waterfall. Valbona Pass, is a tough but stunning walk which is well worth the effort. The Blue Eye was excellent too, the water was crisp and refreshing, the perfect respite from the Albanian heat. This walk is deceptively challenging and we’d recommend getting a taxi to the drop off location. Grunas waterfall was a fun hike and slightly less demanding after the other hikes. They have fresh spring water at the guesthouse which is safe to drink, so no need to bring bottled water with you. There are cute dogs, cats and chickens around the residence. If you like to sleep in, I’d bring ear plugs as the cockerels do their thing in the mornings. Overall, we had a great time. Whether you are looking for exciting and challenging hikes around the Albanian Alps or just want to unwind and relax in the hills.

Great breakfast each morning (Albanian pancakes, sausage/hot dog, lots of fruit options), as well as dinner here on site. It was really good food so we just chose to eat here multiple times vs. other places. The location is extremely central. We stayed in the XL villa and it was absolutely perfect for our family of five (3 large bedrooms, all with facilities (air conditioning, hot water, etc.) that worked well.

Hotel Zallina se encuentra en Theth, a 10 km de Parque nacional de Thethi, y ofrece alojamiento con jardín, parking privado gratis, terraza y bar. Everything. Location, facilities and staff. Value for money including a generous breakfast to fuel we fools who trek the 1000m to the Valbona Pass. The views all round were superb. There was one young lady on staff who had super English and could not have done more to help. I even showed her how to make a Gin and Lemonade for my wife. Just lovely.

Guesthouse Marashi se encuentra en Theth, a 10 km de Parque nacional de Thethi, y ofrece alojamiento con jardín, parking privado gratis, restaurante y bar. We loved the room and the stunning view of the river and mountains from the balcony. The bed was super comfy, the shower was great and overall so many thoughtful touches in the room (the beanbag, the soft fluffy cushions and throws, the pretty lighting) made it feel like a luxurious place to come back and relax in after hiking. We ate dinner at the guesthouse both nights and Violeta’s cooking was delicious. Bear in mind that you can access the property on a paved road now by taking the ‘bridge for cars’ shown on Google maps!
