Friendly and helpful service after booking on a short notice. Very spacious, clean and comfortable in a beautiful setting. Excellent breakfast at the restaurant. Unfortunately we arrived on a the day when the restaurant is closed for the evening as that seemed to be a real treat to dine there.

Very tastefully decorated place, spacious and clean, with all relevant facilities. The piano was the highlight of our stay!

Stayed with friends riding through Spain, Portugal and France on our motorbikes. Very pleasant overnight stay. Splendid rural location, clean and tidy rooms, friendly and engaging staff, cold beer and decent food too, from a buffet.. would happily return and recommend.

Good room, very comfy with a beautiful view!! Quiet place. Spa was amazing!! Breakfast was very good!! We had dinner at the restaurant and at the Bar, good food and service! Overall staff was very friendly!!

My partner and I recently had the pleasure of staying at TheVagar Countryhouse in Portugal, and I must say it was an absolutely enchanting experience from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with open arms and genuine smiles, setting the tone for a truly memorable stay. 
The location was straight out of a fairytale. Surrounded by lush greenery and picturesque countryside views, we felt like we had stepped into a tranquil oasis. It was the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Our room was like a cozy haven, blending traditional Portuguese charm with all the modern comforts we needed. The bed was super comfy, and we slept like babies every night. The attention to detail was evident, and we appreciated the thoughtful touches that made us feel so pampered. The breakfast, oh my goodness, the breakfast! Each morning was a delightful culinary adventure, and we couldn't get enough of the flavors and freshness. It was a real treat for our taste buds! The best part, though, was the people. The staff at TheVagar Countryhouse were simply amazing. They were friendly, helpful, and genuinely passionate about their beautiful region. They had fantastic recommendations for onsite activities (don’t miss out the jeep tour & picnic !) & interesting sites nearby (visit of Sortelha was our highlight !). We took full advantage of the lovely facilities at the country house. Whether we were lazing by the gorgeous infinity pool, having relaxing massage outdoor, strolling through the charming surrounding of the property, or just lounging in the sun with a good book, we felt totally at peace. Leaving TheVagar Countryhouse was bittersweet; we didn't want to say goodbye to this little piece of paradise. We left feeling refreshed and relaxed. In short, if you're looking for a slice of heaven in Portugal, TheVagar Countryhouse is the place to be. It's a hidden gem that stole our hearts, and we can't wait to go back.

Amazing views, super clean and comfortable, great staff

Sure reasonable price to the all facilities which they have. Nice and friendly stuff. Great location - u are able to reach any distinction. Electrical charger! And most important - if you have a kids - they can play at kids room while you are at the bar and you can see them!

The hotel was excellent, very clean. Bedroom and bathroom were great and a good size. The bed was comfortable, and breakfast was fantastic. The only option for dinner in the evening was a buffet, but it was very good. I really could not fault the place. The hotel team were also very friendly. I can’t speak a word of Portuguese, but the staff could not do enough to help out. The cost for one night also includes access to the pool area for free so make sure you remember your swimwear,  like I didn’t.

Breakfast was delicious, the room was perfect and the bed was very good. Our host Sergio has made our stay unforgettable. He is a very kind man and a perfect host who is willing to help you with anything.
