Welcoming host, wonderful views and feeling of remoteness while being only 20 minutes away from Motueka and Abel Tasman! Room and bathroom were clean. We liked the very good kitchen and spaciuos shared space. We had no problems driving to the house with Suzuki Swift during good weather, but keep in mind that the driveway is steep. The location itself is on top of the hill of a very cool mountain pass. For me it was a bonus.

Such a lovely stay in the alpaca house truck. Nat and Grant have really put a lot of thought into the accommodation from all the quirky decor bits to the different seating area and outdoor hottub. The breakfast and alpaca walk was great too

Well....everything was perfect....you can see how much work and dedication they put into creating this beautiful place. Every detail is thought out and gives you the feeling that this place is as unique as its owners. Absolutely gorgeous place with a lovely garden and spa. Super quiet and tranquil and the owners are lovely. After 8pm the spa is for guests only so super quiet, I had the whole spa to myself most of the evening! The queen room had a rustic feel but also super luxurious and comfortable. Everything very clean. The cats are delightful too, super affectionate and love attention. This is probably my favourite place I’ve ever stayed, I came from being on the road in a small van for a while and a night here was just a luxurious break from van life. Highly recommend

Lovely beachfront unit with views out to sea, an almost private beach, very quiet and peaceful. The bed was super comfortable, the shower powerful and hot, charming hosts and everything very clean and spacious. Strongly recommend for a tranquil getaway.

Everything was excellent: the hosts Rene and Marianne, the location, the breakfasts and the “Hippo Wellness” And the nearby town Takaka was a nice place too with some good food.
