Hands down the best place we've stayed in during our year in Aotearoa. Amy and Jason are the most thoughtful, generous hosts and consider every detail to make the experience special for their guests - arriving home to incredible views, a freshly stoked hot tub and fire, thoughtfully curated playlists, and a very comfortable night sleep was above and beyond what we could have asked for. The location is perfect - with nearby Twizel and an easy, beautiful drive up to Aoraki (Mount Cook) - but we mostly wanted to stay in the cottage and chill for a while! Don't hesitate to book this place - our dream is to go back and see it in every season...

Location was amazing. The house is award winning and just wonderful. There is also a small Sauna. Two small tips: there are no mugs and a washing line or clothes horse, but there is a drier. Otherwise absolutely exceptional.

Beautiful cosy cabin with mountain views. The garden was well designed for privacy and helped with the illusion of being more isolated than you really are. Hot tub was great for a soak after days spent walking. Perfect location to explore Mount Cook and the surrounding lakes.

Place is great, good enough for a home away from home. Tania, the owner of the place was there to welcome when we arrived. Would stronly recommend Arches Cottage to anyone who need to stay in Twizel before heading to either MT Cook or Queenstown. The town centre is 5 mins drive & have 2 well stock supermarkets.

Comfortable bed, towels provided for bathroom and hot tub, good facilities in the kitchen Hot tub was fab. Washing machine available to use with plenty of washing line space. Tania was very responsive to messages. A great location and very quiet.
