Excellent central location to explore the entire Big Island. Very quiet, beautiful ocean view with sunsets, close to some of the best snorkeling and ocean kayaking in Hawaii. Comfortable modern house with large rooms, each with a private bathroom and its own refrigerator..
Professional pilot in my early life, professor in my middle life and now an extremely happy innkeeper and coffee farmer. We do volunteer work with orphans and disadvantaged children in Cambodia every June, but the inn remains open year round.. (An interim manager is employed.) Your co-host, Kana, was born and raised in Shizuoka, Japan at the base of Mt. Fuji. Our teenage daughter is a superb hula dancer and may be open to giving you a free hula lesson.
Five minutes drive to good, reasonable restaurants and a shopping center. Very quiet because there are no street noises or close neighbors. Rural Hawaii at its best. From our balconies you can look down at Kealakekua Bay and also the Place of Refuge. We often get magnificent sunsets from our property.
