"I 2 Capitani" is located in Riposto - Sicily - in an elegant residence dating back to the second half of the 19th century, where in 1882 the footballer and sports executive Franz Calì was born, who became the first Captain of the Italian National Football Team. Franz Calì frequently returned to this house, hosted by his cousin Serafina Calì and her husband, Ship Captain Lucio Vasta, until the 1920s. The property retains its charming decorated and frescoed ceilings, and has been recently renovated with a modern, functional design while preserving its historical character. The elegant and high-quality furnishings create a refined atmosphere, while the peaceful, shaded internal courtyard offers the utmost relaxation. It is the perfect place for a stay focused on comfort and tranquillity, ideal for families.
Situated in the heart of the historic centre, just 50 metres from the impressive Basilica of San Pietro and its square, surrounded by numerous cafés, restaurants, pubs, and shops (specialising in high-quality fish), as well as a supermarket, banks, a post office, and a fish market offering the freshest seafood. It is an ideal location for those wishing to explore the area and experience everyday Sicilian life.
