Compton House is a Grade II listed period property in the centre of Llanfyllin, within walking distance of all the local amenities; pubs, shops, a laundrette, cafes and more. It was originally built in the 1700s and maintains a lot of its historical features and charm, including elements of crookedness. It spans over three separate floors, with a wide-open space on the top floor for the lounge, which is a perfect space for relaxing and entertaining. The bedrooms and bathrooms are all located on the middle floor, and steep internal steps make the property unsuitable for those with disabilities or young children who are not under constant supervision. The decor is warm and in a period style, with some quirks.

We are Bobbie & Gidian - we have lived at Compton House for the last 8 years and have slowly been improving and restoring it over this time. We have enjoyed maintaining its original features, and we both feel it has a gorgeous, warm energy to it that we are now happy to share with everyone.

Llanfyllin itself has a quirky and kind energy; the town is full of creatives and artists, and there is a real sense of community.
