This pretty little detached cottage dates from 1790 and was a slate miners home. It is in the quiet but lovely village of Keriven (no shops), 1k from the popular Lac de Guerledan. The surrounding area is ideal for cycling or walks- the GR431 footpath is on your doorstep and a cycling route is also around the lake, the Voie Vert. Bicycles can be safely locked in the garden shed.
 Many interesting towns and villages are within easy reach, such as Caurel 1.5k away with two restaurants. Inside the cottage it is rustic with much character, an ideal cosy holiday home for two. The kitchen has  microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine, breakfast table and two stools. Sitting/dining room has exposed beams, a wood burner with wood free of charge, sofa, chest of drawers, wardrobe, and a tv with UK and Freeview channels, and French channels. (No internet.)  Ground floor has bath/shower and toilet with towels supplied. The stairs lead directly into a converted attic bedroom, (low ceiling with padded beam, no door.) Three electric heaters. 
Two tranquil gardens: a small south facing front garden with apple tree and furniture and a rear garden with patio, small portable BBQ, sun loungers, parasol,  table and chairs, in a private position. 
Activities: nearby at the Lac de Guerledan (1.5k and only 1k from the cottage) is a major attraction with beaches, watersports,  fishing, pedalos, restaurants etc. Visit the nearby Abbaye de Bon Repos, the hamlet of Les Forges des Saĺles and a chateau in the Quinecan forest. Walkers may also like the tourist trail around Keriven historic village.
We love our country cottage in this peaceful, historic slate miners unique village. The apple tree in our front garden gives us much quiet pleasure, watching the beautiful birds on the fat ball feeders. The cottage is 1k from the 1.5k long Lac de Guerledan, where the boat rides and water sports are good to watch whilst relaxing in one of the restaurants or on the beaches, or to take part in. The voie verte is a popular walking and cycling route. Mur de Bretagne is the nearest town, 8k away. We visit the market on Sunday mornings at the Abbaye de Bon Repos and enjoy lunch at the restaurants afterwards, with the beautiful views.

Pontivy is a large, ancient town 24k away, full of Napoleonic history, medieval streets, excellent eateries and shops.
