Everything was exceptional ,they made my stay really comfortable,although i booked in female dormity where the beds are mixed and not seperated ,i could sleep comfortably like i am in my own room ,no noise or light disturbance at all, place was well cleaned and maintained, the staff were very helpful, the way the owner dealt with us was very friendly and funny ,i got to know nice people and made nice memories to remember ,i felt peaceful atmosphere like i am at my own home. The price is good for the stay, especially if you like to stay more than one night.

At first I planned to be in Muscat for a few days at the beginning and end of my trip. But since I fell in love with that place I returned every three to four days to Basil‘s Hostel and have been there a total of five times. It was a great place to meet other travellers and locals. I always felt welcomed and at home there. If I ever return to the great country of Oman, which I‘m pretty sure about, I will for sure be staying at Basil Hostel again and looking forward to reunite with all the good friends I made there. The room was clean and neat, but the surroundings had a bad smell because of some nearby fish shops. The room itself was good, though I wish they had provided a cupboard to keep belongings, as there wasn’t one. The property does have CCTV, which is a plus. Overall, for the price, it’s worth it.
