The facilities were really nice, clean. The staff was super friendly, they recommendations for everything. This was the best hostel I ever stayed, it didn't feel like a hostel, but more as a hotel. Also there was common place for people to hang out and chat in the evening.

My party of 5 total stayed only one night when hiking the Magome to Nagiso section of the Nakasendo. Proximity to train station and Nakasendo trail was the original selling point, but we fell in love with the place as soon as our host toured us around. It feels like staying at an artsy bed and breakfast, except you provide the breakfast and you get the entire place to yourself. There's small, delightful touches of personality and hospitality every where you look. We did not want for anything. Our sweet host met us at the front door to enter data from our passports and then gave us a walk through of the building. Two toilets and two showers was perfect for a group of 5. Fridge and other kitchen appliances work great. We listened to the CD disc player on the wall while reading the books and it was a lovely experience.The futons were placed very thoughtfully according to our parties needs. In addition to the trail and train station, there's a grocery store, a historic bridge and a cafe all within a couple minutes walk. The patios were a great hang out spot and we saw monkeys near the river around 7am. Honestly, I wish we had stayed longer but our plans dictated we move on. Next time we will try to book a few more nights so we can explore the area more!

Starfall Lodge cuenta con wifi gratis y habitaciones en Hakuba, a 9 km de Estación de esquí Tsugaike Kogen y a 44 km de Estación de Nagano. The staff and overall environment of the lodge was great. It was a nice communal space and community out there, with loads of help and great conversations to ease you in.

The Bohemians Shelter is the place to go if you want to Ski in Japan. The house is surrounded by nature, and if your lucky, your greeted by snow monkeys on your way to the slopes. The house is clean and very cozy. Its a place to meet new people, make friends and new connections. Moreover the owner Gaspar is fantastic. Always ready to help you with whatever you need, and a super nice guy! Most nights they offer a delicious dinner to a very affordable price! Cant wait to be back!

1166 Backpackers se encuentra en Nagano, a 9 min a pie de Templo Zenkoji y a 2,5 km de Estación de Nagano. I liked everything there. Probably my most memorable place of the past 3 weeks of traveling, and the level was high in most of the places I've been. On top is the incredibly nice, helpful, and sociable staff. They gave a lot of advice on what to do, and what to eat around, they like conversation, and even organised a dinner together. It's the type of place that makes you want to stay longer, and regret you didn't book more nights. The house is perfectly designed to encourage social contact, with the main lobby as entrance, and a unique big table in the middle. It's the type of place where everyone knows each other from day 1. It really feels comfy, like a home outside of home.

El Morino Lodge está situado a solo 10 minutos a pie del teleférico de la estación de esquí de Happo One y ofrece un alojamiento acogedor con habitaciones amplias y un salón moderno. Un ambiente muy acogedor. El living/comedor de uso común es hermoso, muy amplio con grandes ventanales donde se aprecia el hermoso bosque nevado. Las habitaciones son muy amplias y cómodas, con una hermosa vista también. El personal muy amable y predispuesto a resolver todos los problemas. Pasamos unos días divinos con el toque especial de la nieve hasta unos 3 metros de altura.

Guest House Kura está en Suzaka, a 1,9 km de Zoológico de Suzaka y a 14 km de Templo Zenkoji. Ofrece alojamiento con salón de uso común y parking privado gratis. La hospitalidad y el buen gusto en la decoración del lugar. Es encantador, todo de madera como una auténtica casa japonesa. En la misma habitacion hay una sala de descanso con una mesa y puedes dejar tus cosas allí. Se duerme en fotón encima del tatami, aunque el primer día resulta extraño, el segundo ya estás bien. En la habitación hay aire acondicionado y una estufa de gas. También hay una manta térmica para el fotón. Pero lo mejor es la ayuda que te ofrecen para visitar los alrededores y la buena conversación. Recomendables 100% para vivir realmente un Ryocan mas humilde y auténtico.
