Designated smoking are just makes you want to smoke :). Close to bus stop for routes needed for sightseeing. Didnt feel like leaving the building, thats how pretty it is. Would definitely stay there again!

Breakfast was mostly really great! 1 morning of the 3 it was very Japanese so the kids didn't eat it (but they filled up on cereal instead!). It comes packaged so you can take it with you if you aren't ready to eat. The room had what we needed to sleep and lay out our luggage easily. check in and check out was easy. Great value for money

The host was super friendly, always happy to chat and answer questions about history and tradition and helped me find my way around Kawagoe, showed me all the must see spots, bars and restaurants. There’s also a little garden in the back and the bar area seems to be the local hang out spot in the evening which is super cool.

So clean, they clean everyday and it’s always spotless. The host is so lovely. Her dog is so cute and friendly too! Sometimes he’ll greet you at the door, this meant so much to me especially when I was missing my dog at home. The neighborhood is AMAZING. I love Koenji so much. A perfect, calm getaway from the city with still plenty of things to do. Great restaurants, thrifting, karaoke, parks, and Japanese vibes. Also Nakano is a 20 min walk away and they have a mall with Uniqlo and everything else you’d need. It’s easy to meet other people and make friends! Women-only was awesome and made me feel really safe. I can’t wait to go back and spend my entire Japan trip here. I shouldn’t have bothered with any other hotels. Nothing compares to Grapehouse Koenji!
