The host was super welcoming and friendly and had hosted us with a big smile, positive energy, and with our room ready. The room was HUGE and we had a little balcony, which we really, really enjoyed! We rented eBikes which we absolutely LOVED, and there is no better price in the area than at this hostel. The location was perfect, close and far enough from the center, close to a number of grocery stores. There was free coffee, which made a HUGE difference 🙏🏼 All the necessary kitchen supplies were there and we were able to cook. We were able to park at the property, and the host let us leave our car for a few hours after our check out. I will DEFINITELY stay at Walter's Hostel the next time I visit Interlaken, and it is definitely happening again! You can choose between private rooms and single beds in a dormitory. Bed linen is provided, you will have to dress and undress your beds yourselves. Showers and toilets are located on every floor (basement, 1st and 2nd floor). The atmosphere, everything was clean, would definitely stay here again. Super nice breakfast as well.

The Berggasthaus First offers simply furnished dormitory rooms with bright wooden furniture, shared bathroom facilities, a ski bar, and a lounge. Free WiFi is available in public areas and the guest house offers direct access to the ski slopes. Ski passes are not included in the room price. What's not to like? From the gondola ride, to the friendly staff, the easy check-in (you do it in the restaurant), the comfy cabin room and, obviously, the STUNNING VIEWS. Everything exceeded expectations and I wished I could've spent an extra night. If you're wondering if it's worth it booking the cabin room as a solo traveler, JUST DO IT! Having the First View and First Walk all to ourselves after the other tourists left/before they arrived the next morning was the highlight, it was a beautiful sunny day and the views were breathtaking.
