The rooms were nice, with comfortable mattresses, made bedding, and a sink and mirror in the room. A European and a Swiss style outlet at the bed, a good shelf, and an adjustable reading light. Tons of very nice common spaces, including a well-equipped and huge kitchen area. Breakfast was simple (bread, yogurt, cereal, coffee, and juice) but high quality including locally baked fresh bread. The shower rooms were large and had lots of hooks and dry space to put your things. The staff were friendly and accommodating and everything was always clean. The building itself is cool too.

I spend 3 nights in the Hostel and had amazings and completely different evenings each day, i got one bed in the shared room and it was full booked but everyone was respectful and tried their best to be quiet in the early morning and past midnight as well! The vibes are immaculate, all the staff is super kind and helpful. The hole idea of the hostel is to have a break, to share a good time and to know people while you are adventuring, exploring, learning. I think that’s why most of us left so happy and in peace at the same time. The beds are comfortable, they’ll provide a towel and a locker and there’re enough plugs for everyone. The kitchen has microwaves, water heater and two fridges to store your food and the supermarket is close, like a 10 min walk or two stops if you use the bus, which is right next to the reception. I’m so glad i choose this Hostel and hope i’ll come back

We enjoyed our stay at an incredibly accommodating hostel, complete with a picturesque garden and a pond graced by sizable fish. The highlight was the option to barbecue, an opportunity we naturally seized. We opted for a room with a shared bathroom, which pleasantly surprised us with its smart system. This intuitive system allowed us to control the lights and even set up music using an iPad, enhancing our convenience. The beds provided exceptional comfort, and the thoughtfully equipped kitchen elevated our experience. Additionally, the laundry facilities, available for a mere 8 CHF, were a practical bonus. Walter, the epitome of a welcoming and easygoing host, extended an immediate sense of belonging. We're sincerely appreciative of the warm hospitality and undoubtedly look forward to returning in the future.

The property is allergy-free and is set 23 km from Giessbachfälle. -We were 5 and we had the whole room to our own. -It was very comfortable even though it was a couchete -The view was spectacular -You could grab a cup of tea and just sit in the common area (where breakfast was served), talk with others or just sit and enjoy this cozy place. -The breakfast had a good range of options

Reopened in April 2018 after extensive refurbishment and surrounded by a quiet garden with a terrace outdoor chess and morris, this youth hostel in the centre of Bern is just a 5-minute walk from the Swiss Parliament and the Aare River. Free Wi-Fi is available. Very new and nice hostel. The beds were really comfortable, the lockers are big and are used with the card for the room. The breakfast was a buffet with fresh and a big variety of foods.

Only 1.5 km from the ski lifts, this youth hostel is located in Grindelwald. The sun terrace and the lovely breakfast room have beautiful views of the Bernese Alps. Packed lunches are available.

All rooms at Youth Hostel Grindelwald have wooden furniture and offer nice mountain views. Great staff, wonderful view, breakfast was a lifesaver and more comprehensive than I thought it would be, wasn't even that bad walking up the hill from the train station.
