Had an amazing stay at Mateo, location is superb with the sea view, staff is welcoming and friendly, the rooms are sparkling clean and comfortable, breakfast is great. They provide free umbrella for the guests. Highly recommended for the value and services.

It was probably my best stay in the hostel ever. Jaja and her husband are so kind, they kept making sure that I am fine, not hungry, made me breakfast and gave me fruit from garden for free and Jaja, that goodhearted amazing woman, even brought me to the bus station with car at 5:00 in the morning. The terrase is such a beautiful place with view at Himare and it is close to an amazing Firikuri beach. Whenever I will be passing by Himare, I will stay there.

It has such nice vibes — clean, friendly, and with a great international atmosphere, that makes it easy to meet people from all over the world. The staff are incredibly helpful and welcoming. They organise well-planned excursions during the day. Himare has some of the most beautiful beaches I’ve seen! Crystal-clear water, clean, and perfect for swimming. A great spot to relax and enjoy the Albanian coast. Also different social activities every night at the hostel — perfect for solo travellers or anyone looking to connect. It’s about a 15-minute walk to the main beach and just 5 minutes from a bus stop, so it’s easy to get around. I originally planned to stay a few nights but ended up extending for 10 days. Definitely coming back again! Thanks, Faleminderit ☺️🙌
