Located 13 km from Sukhothai Historical Park, Riverside Retreat Sukhothai Guest House is a recently renovated 2-star accommodation in Sukhothai, featuring a garden, a bar and private parking. The property features garden and city views. Featuring a private entrance, the guest house allows guests to maintain their privacy. This is a nice guesthouse. The location is convenient as it's in the center of the new town, close to the main road to the old town. You can easily call Bolt to get to the old town or possibly to the train station. We got 2 rooms, one was in the first floor of main building and one was in one of the bungalows. Both rooms were nice, convenient and clean including the private bathrooms. The beds were comfortable with perfectly clean sheets. The Internet worked well. There are restaurants and supermarket just on the main street. Amazon Cafe some 10 minutes away. The morning market is just a minute at the temple. The new town is a nice place to see real Thailand without too many tourists. We enjoyed staying here and would be happy to come back.

Boasting a shared lounge, Space Ben Guest House @ Muangkao is ideally set in Mueang Kao district of Sukhothai, 700 metres from Sukhothai Historical Park. This guest house offers free private parking and luggage storage space. The sweetest lady runs this guesthouse. I stayed for two days and she gave me something to eat both mornings. She also gave me advice on where to go and what to see, and she has the bus schedules written up on the wall. She was ready to help in every way. As a solo traveler, kindness and care like this makes a world of difference. The room was clean, comfortable, had all necessary toiletries and a hair dryer, and socket extensions on both sides of the bed (which I've found is not common in most guesthouses and that can be quite annoying). Amazing location, the historical park is just a few minutes away.

The location is very close to the historical part of Sukhothai. I was able to rent a bike for 80 baht a day and explore. I also paid extra for the breakfast they provide if wanted. You pay for this at the end of your visit. But I liked the option.

On several occasions, we received complimentary treats like fresh watermelon, bottled water, snacks, and smoothies delivered right to our room, without even asking. What truly left a lasting impression was the kindness and dedication of the Villa Manager. On the day of our departure, our scheduled Grab car to the airport didn’t show up. Without hesitation, the Manager personally offered to drive us to the airport in her own car. That level of care and genuine hospitality is something we will never forget. Everything about our stay was exceptional — from the serene environment to the thoughtful service. We left feeling refreshed, cared for, and already dreaming of our next visit. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat with world-class hospitality. This is not the Four Seasons Hotel, but the services will make even (Mr. Isadore Sharp) the Founder and Chairman of The Four Seasons Hotel proud.
