Before even arriving, we appreciated Chip & Yessica’s prompt responses to our questions & their efficiency in arranging details like airport pick-up. The hostel is in a great location. It has amazing views over the river. Conveniently located behind a fruit & vegetable market, it is also only a block or so from the scenic Malecon & the main historic plaza. The hostel is magical. The high-ceilinged rooms are completely covered with vividly coloured murals. It reeks of charm. We took a room with a private bathroom. It was huge & the one wall was solid window looking out onto the river. The room is well-appointed with a bar fridge, reading lamps, etc. linens & great wifi provided. The common room (where an excellent breakfast can be served) also has these amazing windows & views. Chip speaks English & he & Yessica have been in Iquitos a long while so can answer all questions.

The two terraces on the top are both very nice. They have a kitchen with everything you need, you can really cook yourself proper meals. The place is very clean, also you can have your room cleaned every day if you want. They also provide laundry, take your clothes in the morning and have them ready by the end of the day for very cheap price. And Sara/Sarisa is an amazing host, she helped me with everything, she waited for me first day I came and the last day I have an early flight, so I had to get up in the middle of the night. She woke up at 3:30 and called me a mototaxi. She is very welcoming and ready to help with whatever you need. Totally recommend it!!!

The staff were so smiley, happy and always helpful. The location is right in the middle of town and easy to get around, there is an amazing pork place next door! Spacious rooms with air con, comfy beds and a tv that worked. A great place to stay all round.

The staff were very patient with our limited Spanish and were friendly. They allowed us to use the pool after checking out which we appreciated in the heat of Iquitos. The room was large and very comfortable with great AC and a comfy bed. The pool area is very nice, extremely clean and very relaxing. The pool is around 10m long and large enough for cooling off. It is very similar to the photos and is as nice as it looks! The longe area around the pool is also very nice and never busy. We would highly recommend Iguana Haus for anyone looking for a peaceful stay!

Casa Alojamiento La Cascina se encuentra en Iquitos y dispone de jardín, zona de barbacoa y wifi gratis en todo el alojamiento. Estuve un par de dias y fue justo lo que necesitaba, la Cascina esta rodeada de naturaleza y el lugar te hace sentir como en casa. La habitación era cómoda y acogedora. Los dueños son muy amables y siempre han estado a disposición para ayudarme en todo lo que necesitaba.

I booked last minute and arrived late but they organized a super reliable transfer from the bus station. They also helped me get a hammock for my slow boat journey to Iquitos. Early in the morning, they provided another reliable transfer to the boat. The room is comfortable and the big smart tv is a nice touch.
