I could walk to Kinomiya shrine from the hotel. Nice view from the room seeing birds and squirrel and I could see the Hatsushima Island. It is very peaceful atmosphere around this area. The Hotel was clean and a nice big size. Private spring bath was great! There was a large window in the lounge room morning sun shine straight through. Owner of this hotel was very kind and helpful. I am very happy to find this Hotel.

Effective October 1, 2025, a lodging tax will be introduced by ordinance of Takayama City. In addition to the room charge, 100 yen per person per day will be charged. Please pay in cash or by card upon check-in. Guests under 12 years old are exempt from the lodging tax. I really liked the Guest House, it nice and cosy and felt like home. Really cute little touches as well. The staff were extremely friendly and the facilities were great too. My private room had everything I needed and again there was a cute welcome and thank you note. I’d definitely stay at the Guest House again.

Very friendly and helpful host. Run me through all the equipment and helped with my luggage and time issue. Also the room is super clean and equipped with everything you need. Definitely recommend.

My expectations were high from all the amazing reviews I'd seen on here beforehand, but the property exceeded them! I loved everything about it, and I only wish I could have stayed longer. A beautiful building, amazing location, extremely kind and friendly hosts, very well-equipped - and the breakfast was so huge and delicious that I can't believe it was only 500 yen. A meal like that would have been at least twice the price in a restaurant! Thank you so much for my wonderful stay here.
