The building was attractive and warm, with exceptional customer care. We were treated very well by Pema the owner and his staff. The room was very clean and the food was good. Will return to the hotel again.

Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with an outdoor fireplace. I booked one room for 2 nights but wasn't able to arrive until the second night. I arrived on the second night with friends who also wanted to book a room there. Instead of charging for the second room, they gave it to us for free in lieu of the first nights accommodation (2 rooms for 1 night instead of 1 room for 2 nights). I was very surprised by their generosity as it was my fault that I couldn't arrive the first night. The food was also incredible. Excellent quality and the quantity was insane. It's even more impressive when considering the remotness of the hotel. By far the best accommodation I stayed at during my entire holiday throughout India and Nepal. The customer service couldn't have been better.

The list of positives of my 3 night stay at Thangkop House is a long one: Good wifi, hot showers (both of which are scarce in Ladakh), spacious, clean rooms with lovely views, seamless check-in process, hot tea and biscuits on arrival etc etc. But what made my stay at Thangkop House so memorable was the warmth, friendliness and helpfulness of the owners, Dolma and her son Wong. I had a million and one questions upon arrival as I needed help with planning my motorbike trip in Ladakh - not only did they patiently answer each question, but also organised my permits and motorbike for me, helped me plan the route, gave advice on the necessary provisions and stored my excess luggage during my 5 day trip. It is no exaggeration to say that were it not for them, my trip through Ladakh would not have been as memorable. Exceptional.

Located near Namgyal Tsemo Gompa and Soma Gompa, Rock Castle Residency is in Leh and provides free private parking and a restaurant. With quiet street views, this accommodation features a terrace. The hotel was immaculately clean, comfortable, and well-located in a village within walking distance of Leh Market. The owner, Gonbo, was incredibly hospitable, from offering fresh mint tea when mint was harvested in the garden to making a bonfire at night. With many years of experience as a travel guide, he arranged our inner line permits and drivers and offered valuable advice about local places and food. The balcony from the room had a great view of the castle, Shanti Stupa, the garden, and the mountains. I would definitely stay here again.

Extra care was truly taken at the Lhachik Guest House to make sure you had a great stay! If you want to rent a bike, the bike will be there whenever you need it. If you want to hire a taxi driver, they will arrive when you need them. Everything is taken care of and recommendations for places to tour are available if you desire. Highly recommend for the price as well.

The accommodation provides luggage storage space and a tour desk for guests. It was wonderful stay! with very kind friendly owner family! We had to leave at 7 am one day of our stay, they made a breakfast for us at 6:30 eventhough the breakfast time is 7:30-10:30! The room is clean and big with great view! They have well maintained garden. We enjoyed breakfast and tea time at garden with view! The shower is very good! Hot shower gave us extra healing! It is 900m from Leh town. It is a nice walk! We really recommed this great guest house!!!

Best service from the staff and the owner was so Friendly and guided us the best route for our trip , food was just like home in affordable price and very helpful in every aspect, we had to stay another night in leh because we got late for our route , and they managed everything in just one call and we checked in 2.00 am in night and they still didn't charged us extra for that , and managed our dinner in that late night , also they have such a beautiful rooms with best mountain views , i would recommend everyone if you are going to leh and looking for a stay , must visit here once , you will feel like your own home .
