I have stayed for 2 nights in the starlight hostel and I absolutely enjoyed it! The hostel is located in the beautiful village of the Quilotoa Loop. The view from the hostel is just stunning, the food delicious, the blankets are warm, the owners and workers such nice people. I absolutely recommend you to stay there to see how the sunset lights the mountains and clouds come to the valley. Gracias por el lugar tan hermoso!

The people there are super cute and helpful, the rooms are super comfortable and well thought through and the food is just incredible! For all the vegetarian hikers, I wouldn’t even think one second and book this place again - it was the best vegetarian food I have eaten in south america :)

This place is not as famous as the Llullu Llama Lodge but it offers the same quality and friendly atmosphere! The hosts (2 sisters) were super friendly, they lit the fireplace even though we were the only guests. The food was delicious and the portions were huge!

Guests can make use of the outdoor fireplace or the picnic area, or enjoy views of the mountain and garden. A cool and discreet place with an entrance at a gas station, yet surprisingly quiet and pleasant. They offer a good breakfast, and there’s an excellent restaurant just a 5-minute walk away with stunning views of the Cotopaxi volcano.

Hostal El Inca features mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Chucchilán. This guest house has a garden. The accommodation provides airport transfers, while a bicycle rental service is also available. Incredibly friendly family who all go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and happy. We ate delicious food, received loads of local knowledge of places to visit, and slept very well in their comfortable beds. The shower is next level.

Cabañas Quilotoa is situated in Quilotoa and offers a garden, a bar and a shared lounge. The property has garden and quiet street views. There is free private parking and the property features paid airport shuttle service. Great place to stay in Quilotoa. The room was very big and the bed super confortable. There is a stove in case it gets too cold. Large bathroom with very hot water. Hot tea and coffee always available at reception and also water, which is quite rare here. At night they also have a restaurant with excellent pizzas and a selection of vegetarian dishes. Breakfast was also great with quite a lot. Lastly everyone was super friendly, I really had a great stay.

Hostal Sendero de Volcanes offers rooms in Latacunga. Among the facilities at this property are a shared kitchen and a concierge service, along with free WiFi throughout the property. Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. Javier and his family were so accommodating. I needed to use a computer at a cyber cafe, and Javier offered to let me use his laptop for the morning because he wasn’t using it. Really great service.

Guests can dine in an outdoor dining area at the guest house. Our stay here was fantastic. perfect place for any adventures you are looking for in the area. We climbed cotopaxi and got to rent all equipment from here. We also left our bags in a very safe basement. Defenitely recommend this place.

Hosteria Alpaka Quilotoa in Quilotoa provides adults-only accommodation with a garden and a shared lounge. This 2-star guest house offers a 24-hour front desk and a shared kitchen. The guest house also features free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. María and her husband run the hotel. They were lovely from the beginning to the end. She is a very gifted chef and will cook delicious meals for you while you stay there. Quilotoa itself seems to be going through a boom of people opening hostels and restaurants, we visited during low season and hence it seemed that the town was half empty. Prices are ridiculous cheap for what you can get. Our room had a king size bed, a little fireplace that warmed us through the night and a private bathroom with boiling water- everything that you can wish after a good day of hike. While in there we hiked Quilotoa rim, but also did the short hike to the bottom of the crater and back. All free hikes. Highly recommended to visit and to stay in this hostal. It’s conveniently place right by the entry of the town.

The alpacas are sooo cute! Grace is a lovely hostess. Breakfast was delicious- fresh fruit, granola, pancake, eggs, coffee. Dinner was also great- Grace was very conscious of any dietary needs. The room was cosy and warm with a wood stove and many comfy blankets. We enjoyed our stay very much.
