I have had a truly exceptional experience with Far. He is such a warm and loving person and makes your wishes and needs his first priority. He organized all the tours for me, including climbing Kili, we went to the gym together, had dinner together and so much more. It felt like being with a really good friend. I could not imagine a better place to stay for my time in and around Moshi :)

The staff were super nice, friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked into the house - we were greeted with a fresh juice and they were always around for any requests we had throughout the whole stay there. The breakfast and dinner, served by the lovely Janet who was always smiley, were so tasty and allowed us to get a taste for the local cuisine. The place is overall nice (especially with the view of Kilimanjaro) but what made it special was the people working there and the fact that they made us feel like home and ensured any activities we did were providing us with an authentic experience within the small but cosy Shimbwe village. We particularly liked the hike to the waterfalls with Jastin and the amazing coffee experience where we sang, danced and laughed while preparing our own coffee with the locals - a moment we will cherish for years to come! We loved our stay there and would highly recommend!

We had a truly warm and heartfelt welcome at Nyota Safari Lodge. From the moment we arrived, we felt embraced by the lodge’s warmth and hospitality. Our dinner was a special experience, prepared with love by two wonderful women from the local area. Each dish was served to us by Daudi, who not only ensured everything was perfect but also shared fascinating insights into the origins of the dishes. The food was beyond delicious—it was nourishing, comforting, and made with true care. The pumpkin soup was an absolute standout—so delicate, smooth, and soothing, it felt like a warm embrace. The dinner itself had an almost ceremonial quality, filled with warmth and authenticity. We had the pleasure of inviting Eric to join us for a while, and our conversation was both stimulating and inspiring—he is truly an impressive and insightful person. Beyond the wonderful hospitality, the gardens at Nyota Safari Lodge are absolutely stunning, bursting with colorful flowers and a peaceful atmosphere. And of course, the friendly little kitten was an added delight! This was more than just a stay—it was a deeply memorable and nourishing experience that we will cherish forever. 🌿✨

We were just arrived at Kilimanjaro airport and, long story short, the guy of the homestay that we initially had booked in Moshi didn’t show up, so we had no pick up, no place to sleep, and no activities for the day after. We made a last minute booking at Home Feeling Kilimanjaro and Mr Walter was from the beginning super kind and helpful. We were accomodate at Neneu which is Mr Walter’s other property, very close to Home feeling. The girl who welcomed us with fresh fruit juice was also super nice. Mr Walter helped us reorganize the Materuni waterfall and coffee tour for the morning after as per our original plan, helping us forget all the stress of our arrival. Place is super nice, surrounded by nature, room was spacious and clean. The only thing was that there was not hot water and area can get quite chill at night. Mr Walter woke us up at 6:30 am because there was just the perfect view of Kilimanjaro from the backyard. I can’t thank him enough for that since the early morning view was our main reason to visit Moshi’s area in the first place (we were just so tired that we forgot to put the alarm ourselves). After that the perfect breakfast was ready for us. I would also recommend to let Mr Walter arrange tours and activities in the area, we had a wonderful day at the waterfalls and coffee plantation with local guides. Before leaving we had time so Mr Walter brought us to Home Feeling to show us this property which looked as a super nice place to stay as well (pictures available). If you’re going to Moshi I can’t recommend enough one of Mr Walter’s properties. Asante sana for everything!

Great time spent in Sophie's Homestay. They treated us like their own family. Special mention to Simon and JJ! We had the most delicious fruit for breakfast and her recommendations were top notch, really a great experience to live the kindness and good vibe of Tanzanian people. Highly recommended!

    Karibu Africa Home is a lovely homestay in the outskirts of Moshi. The place is located in a residentail area within walking distance (a bit of a walk, though) from the city center. There a re a few nice restaurant closeby. Our room was huge and pretty cosy. The bathroom was very basic. The breakfast was one of the best we got in Tanzania. Lovely coffee, eggs, pancakes, fresh fruits etc. In overall, the price-value was excellent.

    We had an excellent stay at MKoani. Dee, our host was very welcoming and helpful at proposing activities and restaurants. The home stay was in a quiet neighbourhood a bit outside the hustle bustle of the town. There are several restaurants at walking distance in the neighbourhood. Special thanks to Muddy who drove us around to visit the waterfall, coffee village and the hot spring. He was very helpful around town as well. We also had our clothes washed for a very cheap price. Oh forgot to mention the yummy vegan breakfast Dee had us prepared.

    My wife and I were very comfortable staying at Faraja homestay. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook as vegans. We were able to rent a motorbike and travel around the province. Everything was very clean and in working condition.
