The breakfast was great with fresh fruit and lovely omelet. The staff was particularly great, always friendly and welcoming and sweet. The location is absolutely fantastic.

Perfect place to relax, enjoy delicious food, and watch the sunset. The staff is incredibly kind, attentive, and great cooks. I visited in February, and the beach in the morning was calm, like a giant natural pool next to the forest, no rocks or dangerous stones. The tide doesn’t go out too much, so the water is always just a few steps away. The room was clean, the air conditioning and all facilities worked perfectly. It felt very safe. I will be back.

A good location for a stress-free stay in Ko Kho Khao, Roo Poo Guest House is a guest house surrounded by views of the garden.

Local right near the pier. The boat driver and taxi brought me from the Koh Phra Thong. They rang the phone number, a guy came and made the bed. Handed me the key. Seen a lady yesterday asked for money that l owed. That was it , staff not needed.

Cannot recommend this place enough! Fantastic host, offered to collect us from the mini van drop off point and then drive us to the bus station when we left, and can also book island tours for you if wanted. The view from the decking area towards the river was stunning, and was a lovely spot to see the full moon also. Really appreciated the extra touch of offering breakfast cereals, instant noodles and coffee for free, while the fridge contained very fairly priced drinks (honesty box). Free bicycles for use, which we took to the beach and the tsunami memorial museum. Excellent value laundry service offered. There are a couple of restaurants within a short walk, and a local grocery store with good prices.

The place is simple just like its name but felt like home for me. The location is great and peaceful with forest, bamboo trees, and a cool, clear stream beside the house. Walking in the stream was so refreshing! I can also partially see the beach from the house and it's just a short walk across the road. Even on the rainy day, I could just relax on the hammock behind the house. It was chill. I stayed in the smaller room which was good for solo traveler. It is clean, comfortable and well-kept. The house isn't new, but overall, everything is in good condition. I love the idea of using a loincloth as a towel. It feels local and special. The bed and blanket were comfy, and while the fan gave strong wind (which I like), it might be a bit much for a light sleeper. The owner lives on-site and is friendly and down-to-earth—helpful, always around doing things and happy to chat. There are some fun things to so too, like ping pong, a punching bag, and even surfing that you can learn with him. I really enjoyed how simple and relaxed the stay was. It is a great place to stay if you want a chill, down-to-earth place rather than a fancy one.

Lovely owner and staff, free coffee and tea all day. Delicious breakfast with eggs on toast and juice. Room was very clean and pretty with a lovely sized pool to have a nice morning swim. Also had bikes to hire so ideal to get to the beach and any markets. We really enjoyed our stay. The owner is also very helpful if you need to book transport to leave the hotel.

Kitty was very proactive and helpful! The room was a great size and good location to lots of things. We had a lake room that was quiet at night.
