I recently stayed at The Colombo House and had a great experience. The place was clean, comfortable, and located conveniently. Being here felt like being with family. Sam, Steph and Shashe took care of us and we felt at home right from the start. It is easy to get a tuktuk and get to wherever you want in the city. Plenty of food options and supermarket closeby. Home from Home is now my default home whenever I come to Colombo next.

Apart than the house being really beautiful, each time discovering another artistic detail, the location was perfect and central to beach and touristic attractions yet also a high end residential area. I asked for a pancake breakfast and it was delicious and the hosts were a couple that were inviting, friendly and always eager to help. I unfortunately only booked 2 nights but upon arrival I took pictures of this gem and sent it to my close friends. I am lucky to have found this place and will most certainly come back

This was the first stop in our Sri Lankan trip and We weren’t quite ready to brave the hustle bustle of Colombo, Athma house was perfect for that. A small escape where you could admire the city lights over the lake while nestled behind a jungle shield. However central enough for you get out there if you want to. The owner of the property was our highlight. A fabulous well traveled woman with a warm welcoming energy. Her mission to make us feel at home. The interior was a feast for the eyes. Authentic and eccentric. The property was originally built as her home and it still feels that way, lived in and full of soul. Our only regret is we didn’t stay longer. We stayed for one night and would recommend a minimum of two nights.
