It was a wonderful experience, coming to Mr. Hiro's house. The accommodation was clean, beautiful, traditional, the conversation with the owner was very pleasant. I slept wonderfully there. I will always return to this place in my thoughts. It was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. And as a bonus, there is excellent and tasty drinking water. If you are thinking about where to stay in Japan, this is the right choice. Just don't make the same mistake I did. We were only for one night. We have to come back here for at least 3 nights.

The owner was such a lovely person, she went through the sightseeing of Nikko and showed us the house. The room was typical Japanese style with futon. She was so kind and prepared and offered a delicious breakfast, she also gave us an origami as fortune gift

I absolutely adored my stay at this place. The owner was incredibly kind, attentive, and always ready to assist with anything we needed. Her breakfast was plentiful and absolutely delicious. The hosts! Super welcoming and helpful. Even though they get busy with all the other guests, they always take the time to give you many advice or help. The dinner is delicious and breakfast although simple very fulfilling (and for both of them they don’t charge a lot!) The room are spacious, clean and a personal touch from the host for the decoration which I love. Didn’t try the baths, but seem very relaxing and intimate (for 2 persons max) The house is surrounding by trees, very peaceful.
