It's a hidden gem. Secret Lagoon comes complimentary with it. It's the most value for money stay in Iceland. The rooms are clean, big, and really great. The kitchen was fantastic, and there was laundry.

It couldn’t be more perfect! The facilities are great, great shower, comfy bed and pillows, and the most beautiful view (check the pictures). The breakfast is great! Staff super nice.

Fantastic guesthouse. I recommend this to anyone looking for a place to stay. We booked 1 hr beforehand and check in was seamless. The host was wonderul and accomodating. The facilities are great, great shower, comfortable room. Very quiet, best sleep I’ve had in a long time.

Nice and clean room very comfortable great location for the northern lights Only downside to our stay was the shared kitchen when the only night we cooked for ourselves there wasn't any clean crockery as the dishwasher was stacked up and hadn't been put on cycle so had to was dishes before we could cook

it seemed like a place running on its own as we haven't met any staff members (we arrived late though and left before 10am), but based on the cleanliness and organisation, there must be a group of talented people working in the background :) well-equipped kitchen, pleasant atmosphere, interesting communal areas. I recommend it to everyone :)

An absolutely unique place. I loved staying in the village, and I was amazed at how sustainable it was. My friends and I stayed in Brekkukot Guesthouse and were lucky enough to be the only people there. The bedroom was quite small, but the beds were superb - best sleep ever! There is a loggia and a living room for the use of the guests. The loggia is an amazing spot to observe northern lights if one is lucky enough to see them. I suppose if the guesthouse was full the level of comfort would have been quite different, but this property was also the cleanest one I have ever visited. I also highly recommend visiting the cafe in the village to try their delicious coffee, cakes, and breakfast options. The very same cafe also offers a shop with basic groceries, and lovely selection of hand crafted souvenirs. The location is very quiet, and the views are beautiful. Very friendly staff too. It's amazing that such a unique place can be visited for such an affordable price.
