Fanstastic food, Very friendly service, we felt part of the family. Suresh went above and beyond to make sure we could enjoy our stay on the island. He took us by motorbike, organised a sunrise canoe ride, kayaks and bikes for us as well as a visit to a thread making factory and rickshaws to the train station. When my son left his wallet in the room he organised a courier to have it sent on to our next destination.

Our 3 night stay was a highlight of our 11-day Kerala trip. The location was absolutely fabulous for having a relaxing time. There are just 2 chalets, we had a smaller one which had more than enough space for two people. Each chalet has it's own private sitting space in front where also breakfast and dinner get served. You can also order dinner from the family that is hosting you, and we wholeheartedly recommend to do so as their food is absolutely delicious. Would visit again.

Uni and his family are really welcoming and caring. They made us feel part of the island community. The food is really tasty and diversed. The boating trips (both sunset and sunrise) are really nice experiences. Thank you Uni for your curiosity and discussions. We really had an amazing time in Munroe Island! My stay at this homestay on Munroe Island was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment | arrived, I was welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality. The highlight of the experience was undoubtedly the host, Appu. He is incredibly knowledgeable about the island — its history, culture, wildlife, and the hidden gems that most tourists never get to see. Appu went above and beyond to make sure every part of my stay was comfortable and enriching. Whether it was guiding us through serene backwater canoe rides, sharing fascinating stories about the island's traditions, or introducing us to delicious local food, he made every moment special. The homestay itself is peaceful, clean, and surrounded by nature, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind.
