The area is popular for cycling, and bike hire and car hire are available at the guest house. really authentic. the owner organised us a local dinner, it was very authentic. we were the only guests in the total darkness. only one bulb made some light, it was fantastic. and the next day he provided two bicycles to visit polonnaruwa. please check the brake before using the bike. : )

It is in a quiet neighborhood very close to the ruins, and you can walk to the reservoir to watch gorgeous sunsets. The family was a highlight of our trip to Sri Lanka. We cannot thank them enough.
