Situated in Nuwara Eliya and only 3.8 km from Gregory Lake, Shevyhaws features accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay. The accommodation provides airport transfers, while a bicycle rental service is also available. We loved our stay at Shevyhaws, and would love to stay there again. Chaminda and his family are wonderful guests, they could not do enough for you. Breakfast was delicious and had everything from fruit, to toast, jams and omlettes to curry and roti and pancakes. Accommodation is a bit away from town about 2.5 km, but that was not a problem as Chaminda gave us rides to and from town at no cost, whenever we texted him. He recommended a delicious vegetarian restaurant. He organised daytrips with his 4x4 Jeep at very good prices including the Horton plains, and some tea plantations and waterfalls. The Lovers leap with it's beautiful surroundings is 15 mins walking distance from Shevyhaws. Shower wàs hot and powerful and bedroom was spotlessly clean and included warm cosy blankets for the colder nights. Would strongly recommend to anyone considering.

The guest house features family rooms. I can really recommend this place! I stayed in a super nice and extremely clean room with a balcony and beautiful view of the hills. Big bathroom with hot water shower. The staff was very helpful and helped me arrange a tuktuk to go to Adams Peak at night. I have nothing to complain about!

He offered me a juice as soon as i get there and gave me great suggestions on what to do in the area. He also has a tuk tuk and is always willing to drive you around the area (he room me to adam’s Peek in the middle of the night) but is no pushy about it. The food I had was great and the apartment looks pretty new and very clean (european standard, i’d say), tidy and smells good. The area is a bit off the beaten track, but worth a trip (tea plantations all around, lake views, nice locals) and is very easy to reach by bus from Hatton.

Breakfast and dinner were very delicious. The apartment was very nice and clean. The location is near to the city (5 min with tuk tuk) and quiet. We would come back.

Nice hot pressure water with a large bar of soap provided. Super friendly and helpful host who can answer any questions about hiking Sri Pada and transport logistics after. So so close to the start of the Sri Pada trail head. Delicious Sri Lankan and western breakfasts. Close to everything you need. Love the cute cat and fishes! I’m glad we stayed in Dalhousie, has a festive vibe because of the pilgrimage.
