At the guest house, each unit has bed linen and towels. please don’t miss out KARATSU when you visit Kyushu, and MUST stay with AKARIYA! 5 minutes walk from the main bus station (Ootekuchi bus stop) road is flat, easy to find the lovely japanese house. super nice host Suzy, one of the most important reason why people stay here, speaks fluently English, reply messages immediately, helpful tourist information, with super friendly share house partners, we had fulfilled wonderful happy two days together. even arranged (upgraded ;) ) me to single room, well air-conditioned, cabinets, remote light, sockets, clothes hangers, big space for baggage, comfortable bed. common room with a small library, Kotatsu (the best in winter), lots of snacks. well equipped kitchen and bathroom, toilet every floor, small backyard, smooth free wifi, super clean all area. 5 minutes walk to the beautiful beach, 15 minutes walk to Karatsu-Jo, lots tourist spots in 10 minutes walk area.

The photo doesn't do it justice. Everything looked new, clean, and spacious. There is shared kitchen and bath. Location is great, it is quiet, close to the beach, Karatsu Castle, and Niji No Matsubara Pine Grove. If you are coming by car, be sure to message the owner so he can tell you where to park for free. Very pleasant house, the room was nice, beds were clean and comfortable, and the shower was large. The kitchen was clean and well equipped, and we cooked dinner there. Ask the owner about the artwork inside the house! She also made several recommendations for places to go, landmarks and a cafe to visit. We went to some of these and are glad we did! She also assisted with a translation issue to help make a doctors appointment, and generally was just so welcoming. Other residents were very friendly and we enjoyed chatting.
