I could walk to Kinomiya shrine from the hotel. Nice view from the room seeing birds and squirrel and I could see the Hatsushima Island. It is very peaceful atmosphere around this area. The Hotel was clean and a nice big size. Private spring bath was great! There was a large window in the lounge room morning sun shine straight through. Owner of this hotel was very kind and helpful. I am very happy to find this Hotel.

The common areas are clean and cosy with a relaxed vibe, and when I was there the guests interacted with each other so you could get to know new people if you wanted to. The place was also in walking distance to both the bus station, old part of town and to a shopping mall with a proper supermarket. If you dont want to walk, there is a 7/11 right next door, or there is the possibility to buy food and coffee at the place. If I come back to Takayama I would choose to stay here again

The property offers soundproof units and is situated 31 km from Phoenix Plaza. Hosts were very accommodating despite speaking little English and my limited Japanese. Translation app overcame that barrier. A stocked fridge and comprehensive facilities made my stay very enjoyable. I was able to cook a simple meal, and do some laundry without having to leave the guesthouse in the heavy snow! The cherry on top was the owner driving me to the dinosaur museum in the morning. Very unexpected but much appreciated.

Also gave us apples on our way back. Overall the stay was very comfortable.
