I used Sottoassisi as a base to explore a wide range of Umbrian towns and cities, and it worked perfectly for that purpose. From here, I visited Perugia, Orvieto, Gubbio, Foligno, Città di Castello, Spello, Spoleto, and Trevi — all within a reasonable driving distance or accessible by train. Each day ended with a peaceful return to Assisi, making it the perfect anchor for my Umbrian adventure. The hosts were warm, friendly, and genuinely dedicated to making guests feel at home. They provided excellent recommendations and were always available for any questions or needs. If you're planning to explore Umbria, I can't recommend Sottoassisi - Guest House enough. It combines comfort, location, and hospitality in a truly unforgettable way.

19 km from Train Station Assisi, Casaretti Affittacamere - In centro a Foligno, con parcheggio e ampio bagno in camera is a recently renovated property situated in Foligno and features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and parking on-site. There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay. The guest house has family rooms. We had a beautiful large room and bathroom, very clean with modern furnishings. In a quiet location but very near to centre just a few minutes walk. Also railway station, was 15 min walk.
