A traditional Icelandic breakfast is served every day at Vogafjos Café, located in a cowshed 3 minutes’ walk from the guesthouse. Dinner based on local produce, such as smoked lamb and trout, is also served here. Everything, the rooms were cosy and clean, the food at the restaurant was divine, the lamb shank was lit! But by far the best was the staff from arrival with Agnes and the being advised all the best places to go by Gosha the Polish host with the most and the restaurant manager, they were all engaging, helpful and friendly, we were travelling Iceland for ten nights and this was the stand out ♥️

With a terrace, the property also features a shared lounge and a fully-equipped kitchen. Great location, friendly host Joanna who explained everything on our arrival. Really nicely appointed with an enormous kitchen with everything you would need. ( except for a microwave which was surprising) Only 4 rooms so heaps of space.

Eldá Guesthouse is located in Reykjahlíð, just a few minutes on foot from Lake Myvatn. There is a golf course 750 metres from the property. Each room includes a work desk, a wash basin and free WiFi. Bathrooms are shared. Everything was clean and amazing for a guesthouse

We stayed in the cottage, so I can't tell about the other rooms. The cottage was great, very bright on the inside, fully equipped - including a BBQ on the terrace - and very spacious. To top the great accommodation an excellent breakfast was served in the main building - featuring several home-made products. A clear 10 out of 10.

The guesthouse is away from the road and any city, so it would be a perfect location for watching aurora borealis. The rooms were cosy, warm and clean. The facilities had everything that we needed. The breakfast was delicious. They even offer lava bread and other homemade bread. A special treat were the waffles that you can prepare for yourself. All in all a realy pleasant stay.

Towels and bed linen are provided in the guest house. The accommodation is non-smoking.

At the property, there is an on-site family-friendly restaurant serving dinner and a selection of vegetarian options. Great value for money. Great location - easy to check in / out. Super clean - nice private bathroom facilities. All that you need to spend the night in Myvatn! Thanks a lot! ☺️
