Built in 1857, this guest house started life as a Royal Bank of Scotland building. This fully converted property in the heart of Hawick offers stylish luxurious bedrooms, designer toiletries, free Wi-Fi, and wholesome breakfasts. This guest house was lovely. The room is large and has two very comfortable chairs. This is the best bed we have slept in over the course of this 3 week vacation. It is quiet, and I slept like a contented baby! The town of Hawick is very charming, also.

Located around 30 km from Etal Castle, the inn with free WiFi is also 43 km away from Tantallon Castle. The property is non-smoking and is situated 44 km from Lindisfarne Castle. Very friendly hosts, couldn't do enough for us. Great atmosphere in the bar and friendly locals to chat to. Food was excellent. Much nicer than staying in an impersonal hotel chain. Great base to explore the Scottish borders.

Very clean. Lots of homely touches. Kids loved the book with lots of info about the history of the property and the town.
