The weather was bad and I arrived on a local holiday, but I'm sure this is a beautiful place on good days. The room was nice with a large, comfortable shower, everything was clean, all good! I had a problem with my car the next morning, but everyone was incredibly kind and helpful, and I'm very grateful for all the help. It worked out in the end, and I'll do my best to come back here next time.

Each room at Casa Ruy Lopez has attractive traditional décor. There is air conditioning, a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom. This hotel is a gem and we're only sorry that we couldn't stay longer. The room we stayed in had so many delightful touches, a really comfortable bed and great shower in bathroom. We would be happily stay again if we were in the area.

Friendly and professional staff. Excellent parking in an area that is hard to find a parking spot. Very clean. I did not expect this quality of service in a hostal. The price was perfect. In short, a great value. It was too cold to try the swimming pool, but it looked inviting.

There is a small, cosy lounge as well as 2 attractive patios filled with flowers. Hostal Emeritae also has machines selling drinks and snacks. We really enjoyed our stay! The room was well equipped and the property didn't lack anything. The location was perfect, right in the center of Merida and the staff was very nice, providing helpful information during the check-in process.
