Eco Guest House - Sarapiquí 1 se encuentra en Sarapiquí, a 33 km de Catarata La Paz y a 35 km de Jardines de la Catarata La Paz. This "Guest House" is huge. A family of 4+ could easily move in here and live comfortably. The back decks are beautiful to just sit and watch the jungle. It is a little way down the road from the city, which means it is quiet and very laid back. I had both a breakfast and a dinner while at the guest house. Both were great portions with a lot of variety, tasty, and well worth the money. Unfortunately, my schedule and Wendy's schedule didn't align for her bird tour. There was lots of flora and fauna to explore. My personal sightings included Toucans and a Morpha butterfly. I'm willing to bet that there was a lot I missed that Wendy could have found and shared!

The nights were with perfect temperature and you sleep with the sound of nature, something we needed to get accustomed with. But we had the best sleep for 4 nights! We booked the full experience with breakfast and dinners brought dearly by Wendy’s mom, who was a bit like our mom too. If you speak a bit of spanish, this will stay as your favorite memory of the house, like for us. The waterfall of the neighbour’s property is also superb and had it just for us, is bigger than it looks on photos! We also saw some toucans from the balcony and hummingbirds. A little paradise we recommend to everyone.

The house was clean and tidy and made a good impression. A comfortable room with facilities (eg Refrigerator, ice) available in the kitchen area adjacent to the breakfast room. Breakfast was 'tipco' but nice with lovely fresh fruits and good coffee. The courtyard was pleasant to sit out in during the evening and apart from barking dogs (external to the property) was very peaceful.

Hotel Boutique Malibu Los Sueños está en Tigre, a 50 km de Catarata Tesoro Escondido, y dispone de alojamiento con jardín, parking privado gratis y terraza. Great family owned spot. We enjoyed chatting with the son of the owners who is a football (soccer) star goalie. Rooms are basic and comfortable/clean. This isn’t luxury but amazing value. Nice restaurant and tours right accross the street. Make sure you have the omelette at Cartera just 1 mile up the road. The “lounge” area is perfect for a cold beer and a bag of chips or take out fried chicken.
