Beautiful retreat set in a natural environment and very peaceful, the staff were super friendly and very professional in their approach to the clients needs.

I mistakenly booked the wrong dates for this accommodation. A refund was not possible, but our host offered us the dates we wanted to stay at no extra charge. He was true to his word! Oukaimeden is a beautiful place. Our host, Rachid, was exceptionally helpful during our short stay. The Gite was basic, but comfortable, and had better WiFi than anywhere we stayed in Morocco this year. Breakfast was good, and Rachid has a small restaurant a few minutes walk away from the Gite where a lovely tagine for dinner is available.

The rooftop terrace was absolutely gorgeous, and comfortable. The owner was friendly and kind. He gave me a couple things to help me when I had altitude sickness. This place was really great for the price.

Everything! The room smelled nice, it had beautiful toilet and balcony. The rooftop terrace was huge, breakfast was included. You could see the mountains all over the place. The room had very warm and soft blankets, bed was spacious, area was very silent.

Many thanks to Abedelaziz and the whole Atlas Kasbah Lodge team for their lovely hospitality throughout my stay. I was in Aguersioual/Imlil during Ramadan, and as food was dificult to come by, Adbelaziz would share some of the family's Iftar supper with me every evening. I remain incredibly thankful for this, as well as for the amazing soupe à l'orge. Furthermore, the view over the valley is unique and very memorable, and the village very authentic.

Our stay at Tonaroz House was an absolutely unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with traditional Moroccan tea and felt instantly at home. The host was incredibly kind, helpful, and caring, ensuring that we were comfortable and well looked after throughout our stay. The location is perfect, offering peaceful surroundings and breathtaking scenery, making it an ideal base for hiking and exploring the Atlas Mountains. The atmosphere was calm and authentic, far removed from anything touristy, allowing us to truly immerse ourselves in the beauty of the region. The food was excellent—dinner was delicious and reasonably priced, while breakfast was fresh, hearty, and the perfect way to start the day. Every meal felt homemade with love. One of the true highlights for us was the resident cats, Gaga and Sofinia. They were so friendly and affectionate, making the stay even more special. Even though the evenings were chilly, we were provided with plenty of blankets, and it actually added to the charm of the experience. The entire place was spotlessly clean, cozy, and beautifully maintained—we couldn’t have asked for anything better. Between my partner and I, we’ve stayed in countless hotels and accommodations around the world, and we can honestly say that Tonaroz House is one of the best places we’ve ever experienced. If you’re looking for authentic Berber hospitality, stunning landscapes, and a peaceful retreat, this is the place. We wholeheartedly recommend it and would return in a heartbeat! 10/10 – an absolutely magical stay. 🏔️✨

I liked absolutely everything. It was a little adventure to come through the narrow streets but it was very well indicated so we loved the “approach” through the village. Everyone there is very friendly. I think that no other guest house where I have stayed in Morocco had paid so much attention on the “experience” - from beautiful local interior, incredible dinner and breakfast in a heated room, and cozy room where we had heating (I heard some other room didn’t have the remote for it).

The team there was very welcoming , great food and the views were amazing from the rooms . I will be back again for longer . Highly recommended

I had a wonderful stay at Dar Tamatert! The location is peaceful and surrounded by stunning mountain views, perfect for relaxing and enjoying nature. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything I needed. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and full of authentic charm. The food was fresh, delicious, and made with love—truly a highlight of my stay. I felt at home from the moment I arrived. I highly recommend Dar Tamatert for anyone looking for a warm and unforgettable experience in the Atlas Mountains!
