The owner was friendly and helpful. He suggested us the efficient route of visiting the Jigoku Onsen and skip those that are meaningless. A weeb owner who knows a lot about anime!

Highly recommend this beautiful hotel. The location is comfortable near Beppu Station and directly near a local bus station. The rooms are very clean and spacious. The shared living room is nice, great atmosphere, well equipped kitchen, free drinks all day. The owners are heartwarming, friendly people and you feel very welcomed.

Stunning location nestled in the hills of Oita and close to shrines. Quiet area, not a far walk to city center. The home is well taken care of and quite a relic experience. The amenities, shower, toilet and kitchen were all clean. AC in all rooms. Great views, super kind and accommodating hosts.

Best hostel I've been is Japan. The room is big, with a big locker to store your belongings (I could fit a 16" laptop with a camera bag of body + 3 lenses, so it's big). You get a curtain that fully blocks the light, and gives you good privacy. The way the room & beds are aligned makes it very comfortable, it doesn't feel tight in space, like other hostels in Japan. The shared space and lounge is great, I met there some nice people and we hanged out there, and went to a Karaoke that's right in front of the hostel. The WiFi is strong, I could get some work done and make some calls, and the lounge is very comfortable for sitting with a laptop. Location is very convenient to get to places inside Beppu, and in general close to Beppu Kitahama bus station (5 min walk) And the price was fairly cheap for a hostel in Japan, and for what you get for the price.

It's much better than the rating suggests. The room is cheap, fairly large, and very comfortable, and it's very well located in the city. The only bathroom is a bit rundown, but you get tickets to go to the onsen next door every day. There's a rooftop and a kitchen. I recommend it.

Bed and breakfast run by a lovely lady, who gives reccommendations for things to do and see nearby and in general is very helpful. Feels like staying with family! Breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed the small onsen.
