The man who introduced us to the hotel was lovely; he showed us around and explained everything and made sure we knew everything. He made us feel really comfortable and even said if we need help we could phone him at any time of the night; luckily that wasnt an issue. The beds were so comfy and the shower was lovely and hot. Would definitely stay again!

Utterly blown away by the attention to detail and lengths gone within the rooms to dater for guests every need. Refreshing to see no expense spared for the sake of comfort. Such an overwhelmingly positive and friendly experience that should I ever return to Torquay then there'd no doubt as to where I'd stay. Bravo from a former hotelier.

Beautiful place, good breakfast, great room. We even had balcony which was very nice to sit in and see the sunset.

It is a beautiful house, with very comfy rooms. The bed was lovely and comfortable and plenty of tea and coffee. The breakfast was delicious. Dawn is fabulous and gives you plenty of information of places to visit and to eat in the evening.

That was the best stay I have ever experienced .I was really looked after and have been made so comfortable. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stay ! Room: there is everything you could possibly imagine and more ! Fresh milk 🥛 !!! Attention to details! Complimentary treats ! Sparkling Rose that I really needed to relax after visiting my partner at the hospital. Very comfortable bedding. There was even home made delicious banana cake and flapjack that I have taken to my partner and we eat it together!! Nevertheless, Templespa products made me feel so relaxed and prepared me to have a great night sleep. Breakfast : it’s at the beautifully decorated cosy room where you feel like at home. You choose your breakfast the evening before and it’s spot on ready for you on your chosen time. OMG great eggs and big pot of tea 🫖 lovely chat with Steve (host). My partner was at the hospital with severe infections and when I couldn’t get a cab due to unavailability Steve offered to drop me off. How kind of him. There is not many people like Steve in the world who will look after you like your own family 💗I was touched. You will never have this at The Grand hotel - I have stayed there for 2 days and was nothing like at Garway Lodge Guest House where you felt welcomed with the open heart ! I will absolutely come back, hopefully next time with my partner!

We were warmly greeted on arrival and offered a complimentary cup of tea and homemade biscuits by Amanda the owner, which was a very nice touch. Our room was excellent with a comfy bed. Breakfast was exceptional with a good range of optons
