Great location out in the desert. Very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable hosts. Accommodation was really nice, being able to sit on the balcony was really peaceful with great views. Food was also very good. The early evening walk in the desert (which is free) meant being able to see a fantastic desert sunset. Also did the trip to an authentic bedouin camp on the second day which was really interesting and gave a great insight into the culture. Would highly recommend a stay here at royal desert camp.

Amazing Cozy place - there are only 3 tents, so the evenings near the fire will be extremely cosy - there are no crowds. We're met here quite intelligent tourists :) had some interesting discussions in the evening. Near camp site there are huge dunes and You can just walk on the dunes in 1-2 minutes and make amazing photos. Every tent has toilet / shower (with opened sky:). Very clean. Local dinner / breakfast was perfect. There is possibility to order Dune bushing / camel ride in the place. To reach this place you will need 4WD car, but they have transfer from Bidiyah ALSAIF CAMP for 10 OMR (roundtrip).

What a magical experience. The dome is surrounded by beautiful desert. Very peaceful. The host was also very attentive and kind. Highly recommend staying here. Inside the dome is also very comfortable and well designed.

Loads of conforts which nearly sound like sci-fi, like being able to take a shower in the desert and charge your phone via Usb. The included breakfast was abundant and really top quality. We had an amazing .day there! I would give 11 out of 10 if possible

We wanted to experience a night in the Omani desert, away from the crowds, and Starlight Private Camp provided exactly that. Unlike the larger camps in Wahiba Sands, this camp offers a unique and private experience—just tent in the middle of the desert, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the beauty and tranquility of the landscape. Our stay was truly unforgettable, combined with a peaceful camel safari, an excellent dinner under the stars, and a delicious breakfast in the morning. The entire experience felt intimate and authentic, making it unlike anything else. We are especially grateful to Ali for his warm hospitality and fascinating stories, as well his staff for the incredible food and outstanding service. Communication was seamless, and the assistance provided for driving in the desert was incredibly helpful. If you’re looking for a private and peaceful desert escape, Starlight Private Camp is the perfect choice!

We were looking for a more remote camp and this place is perfect! You only see the 3 tents that belong to the camp and nothing else. On the way to the camp we saw many camps very close to the main road and the experience there must be different. And the best part is Rashid! He was very helpful from the beginning, communicating frequently and always positive. He picked us up from the meeting point and we followed him in our car which was amazing! He also organized additional activities (dune bashing and quad tour) for us which we enjoyed a lot! He even had to deal with many issues that the group staying in other tents had and never hesitated to help. The 2 guys helping with preparation of everything were very friendly and the food they cooked was delicious! Absolutely recommend!
