The entirely wooden home was an amazing sight and the view was even better. We arrived in the evening and woke up to a spectacular sight hearing the river/waterfalls down below. Absolutely stunning. The family that runs Wood Palace is amazing and has been great in accommodating us with anything we needed during our stay, first making arrangements for me as I was planning to propose to my girlfriend and later whilst our son got sick. The amazing starry nights from the balcony and fireflies lighting up the view topped it off. It’s located a little outside of Ella (5min drive) which made it very peaceful and quiet. The owner has a TukTuk and can bring you anywhere you need very quickly. Would definitely recommend! Thank you for a very memorable stay

The setting is marvellous. The staff cold not be more friendly, helpful and customer oriented. The cuisine is excellent. And the chef even went the extra mile to cook for us Sri Lankan delicacies, which were not on the menu.

The Liyon Hotel was an excellent experience for my family. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were very cleanly kept. The bathroom was clean and large, and the mini fridge in the room proved useful. The breakfast provided to us was exceptional and delicious. The hospitality of the hotel owner was commendable. The package is worth a lot more than what we paid, with such a good room and food for a very low price!

Nice and clean hotel situated bang in the middle of Ella. The room were spacious and comfortable and the staff all friendly and helpful. Being close to middle of town meant the faint hubbub of life going on outside was in the background but this was nice and anyhow stopped relatively early.

From the moment we arrived the staff were nothing but helpful, kind and considerate. We had the honeymoon suite which was perfect with our own pool. Two staff stood out to us the most, Damith and Vishwa are a credit to the business, taking time to listen to our adventures and surprised me with a birthday cake. This was the most incredible location with stunning views and also so relaxing. It was a beautiful stay and the staff were so friendly. We told Rafael it was our honeymoon and he organised surprise decorations for us at our room and dinner. Vipula was also very helpful and friendly. We loved loved loved our stay and would highly recommend it. It felt like we were alone in the clouds and the pool is one of the nicest we have swam in. The food was wonderful and well priced and so were the drinks

Everything was perfect. The property is very well maintained with a beautiful garden and impeccable rooms. Great views from the terrace and pool. The staf is very friendly and helpful. The food was very good. We would advise having the all inclusive package to get most out of your stay. This was our favorite hotel during our Sri Lanka trip.
