The hosts were kind, helpful and welcoming and we learned a lot about Polynesia. The bungalow is very spacious, including the bathroom, and there is a walk-in closet. The bed was very comfortable, and the communal kitchen was such a delight, they have great appliances. A lot of thought has gone into building this place, for example having a door that goes directly into the bathroom so that you don’t fill the main room with sand. The property is kayaks and we kayaked to the most pristine motu, where we saw baby sharks!! Incredible place.

La Maison Du Voyage is a recently renovated holiday home in Tevaitoa, where guests can makes the most of its pool with a view, open-air bath and garden. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. Guests can use the hot tub and the spa facilities, or enjoy mountain views.

For guests with children, the holiday home provides kids pool and outdoor play equipment. Snorkelling, hiking and walking tours are possible within the area, and a water park is available on-site. We loved everything about our experience and stay with Isabella and Edward. They are wonderful hosts and their property is clean and in a fabulous location. You will need a car to travel to them. You should hire a car anyway to see the entire island, its gorgeous. We enjoyed conversing with the other guests during our stay and the breakfast of bread and fresh fruit was delightful. We highly recommend staying at La Maison Du Voyage and look forward to going back!

Fare Oviri Lodge is a recently renovated apartment in Opoa, where guests can make the most of its private beach area and garden. This beachfront property offers access to a terrace, darts, free private parking and free WiFi. The apartment features family rooms as well as facilities for disabled guests. The rooms were excellent! The woodwork was amazing throughout the entire facility.

Set in Taputapuapea in the Raiatea region, Duplex en bord de mer Fare Tahitea Pension features a garden. Jeff and Tepairu were the most amazing hosts, this accomodation is situated in a beautiful lagoon that we were lucky enough to swim in every night and every morning. Beautiful amenities, an easy six minute bike ride to the local store to fill up on essentials.

The apartment has a hot tub, outdoor pool and picnic area, and guests can grab a bite to eat in the restaurant. The property was beautiful and clean and comfortable. We enjoyed dinner and breakfast for a fee which were amazing! We only stayed one night which was too short!

Anne and Luke were so friendly and helpful. The facilities were very well maintained and comfortable.

Perched on a hillside with breathtaking views, this guesthouse offers the perfect setting to relax and soak in the beauty of Raiatea. We arrived at the Apooiti Marina in Raiatea after a week of sailing, we were of course expecting to wait a few minutes, but Cathy, the owner, was already there to meet us. From the moment we got in the car, she made us feel very welcome. When we arrived at the guesthouse, we felt like we were in paradise. The house, surrounded by nature, is tucked away on a hill with breathtaking views. Every room offers a spectacular view. Cathy was simply amazing. Her kindness and generosity made our stay truly special. We arrived just before sunset, and I thought it would be nice to have an apero on the balcony and enjoy the view, but of course, we didn’t have anything to drink. I asked Cathy if we could perhaps buy a beer from her, but she didn’t think she had any. BUT a few minutes later she came back and gave us two beers. This is what I mean by generosity! The house was spotless and had all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. If you're looking for a peaceful place with a welcoming atmosphere and stunning scenery, Fare Mirimiri is the ideal spot. We would go back in a heartbeat!

Fare Hanuatai is located in Tevaitoa. The property features sea and garden views. Really calm, ideal holiday home ín rural Raiatea, with a heartfelt welcome from Manu, our host. Happy to chitchat, gives good tour advices. Complete hut, full with all you need (coffee, cocoa, equipped kitchen), all tastefully decorated, amidst a fruit&flower garden. Manu is very knowledgeable ín horticulture and is enthusiastic about replanting authentic fruits& flowers. Sea just accross the perimeter road, 10m. Different kayaks available inhouse, also snorkel gear if wished. Paddle 15mins to opposite islet (motu) within the coral reef and snorkel from there! Utoroa airport 20mins, town is 25. Shop to the north 5km. Have a rental car, and circle the island - to the south see the belvedere point and the nearby gabbro rocks. Do not miss the botanical garden either. One of our best spent island holidays.
