We booked one bedroom for 3 ppl plus 1 infant, we add our son last minute , when we checked in Mary greeted us very warmly and kindly.the first night the air conditioner went out Mary kindly gave us a new room to stay in with no extra charge over all great place with a good family friendly atmosphere I recommend staying here on you’re next trip to playa venue.

Las Porrocas Backpacer's has a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and bar in Pedasí Town. All rooms boast a kitchen, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, and a shared bathroom. The accommodation features a shared kitchen and free WiFi. It was a great rate and we were able to arrange a snorkel tour through the hostel to Isla Iguana where we saw sea turtles. I was able to cook all my meals there and they gave us a free breakfast everyday and there was a laundry nearby and I was able to dry my clothes there.

The breakfast was awesome, they truly make you feel like kings and queens, I love the charm of the small town, if a light sleeper take a noise maker and or ear plugs there are plenty of roosters in this quaint town. Alicia the host is awesome! T he place is very large with multiple public areas and we had it all to ourselves during the rainy season!

At the hotel, every room is fitted with a patio with a garden view. At Wao Jungle Venao the rooms come with air conditioning and a private bathroom. The cabin was really close to the beach (1min by car, a few walking). Parking was plentiful. Everything is close. Room was quiet, aside from the howling monkeys next to it haha 😀 AC was really appreciated and worked well! Very comfortable stay. I especially loved frequent visits of hummingbirds that drank nectar from flowers that were right in front of the cabin :).

The hotel offers surf and kayak rentals. During breakfast local saw scarlet macaw couple flying by and lots of monkeys in the high trees from our table, that was breathtaking! The area is remote with several secluded beaches within walking/ short driving distance. The hotel is located far enough away from Vanao beach to not be disturbed by partying people and close enough to enjoy the restaurants and so on.

Facilities offered at the property include a games room, a tour desk and a children's playground. Best beach ever, huge, no rocks, wonderful waves,no undertow. So much fun, felt like a kid again, and we are in our mid seventies! Staff could not have been better, - the manager Estoben, staff Manual, Eli, Aaron, Juliette etc, all exceptional. The restaurant and bar was very cool based around a big old style fishing boat. The food was very good. Very romantic setting at night under the multiple strings of lights made it like a movie setting. Lots of places to lounge in the shade or under trees in their large wooden chaise lounges. Saw howler monkeys in the trees. There are plenty of trails, one leading to a waterfall.
