El Retoño del Negro Gozón tiene vistas al jardín y se encuentra en Nuquí. Cuenta con restaurante, cocina compartida, bar, jardín y terraza. Utterly utterly basic. Barefoot luxury without the luxury. The wooden planks which make the walls of the huts have spaces between them for ventilation. Nothing in the room except a bed (and mosquito net), a shelf and a table. Hammocks on the verandah and the sea is right there - wonderful. You get there by small boat (with outboard motor) from Nuqui - the tourist jetty is a short walk from the airport and the people where you pay your airport tax made sure we were passed into the care of someone who saw us onto the right boat. It took 50 minutes. Wear shorts - there is no jetty and you disembark by stepping off into the water. The kitchen/dining area has a low concrete wall around it and a tin roof. The food is simple but we thought it was delicious (lots of fish - ceviche, stew and grilled). The staff are lovely - friendly and helpful, and take care to speak simple Spanish to help us understand. We enjoyed whale watching from a small boat. All very simple and undeveloped. A perfect place for blissful downtime and going to sleep to the sound of the waves. Utterly utterly wonderful!

TORTUGA BAY Eco Hotel está en El Valle, a 2,2 km de Playa El Almejal, y dispone de alojamiento con jardín, parking privado gratis, zona de playa privada y terraza. Ofrece restaurante y bar. We did a tour to Utria National park. My expectation was entering the jungle with a nature guide to look for local animals. Instead we went on a beach tour. So be sure you explaine correctly what you expect to get the right tour. The other morning we went alone on a little path behind the hotel and managed to see a group of monkeys. So there are wild animals around. For the locals they are just so normal, they don't mention them. Among the local birds are also eagles. Same thing, locals won't mention them as special, as the are regularly seen.

Cabañas Los Almendros es un alojamiento de 4 estrellas que se encuentra en Capurganá, a 4 min a pie de Playa de Capurganá, y que dispone de jardín, terraza y bar. Breakfast was delicious, gardens were lovely for relaxing after the boat trip, rooms were nice, plenty of bathrooms, clothesline available and handwashing of clothes. The location is quiet and close to town.

The Pelican House Hostel dispone de centro de fitness, jardín, terraza y bar en El Valle. El alojamiento, construido en 2018, está a pocos pasos de Playa El Almejal. A bed in the heart of paradise. The staff is amazing (special thanks to Juan, he was extremely helpful and so so nice) the hostel is located in the beach and the jungle (in el valle those two things are the same thing) so cleanses and comfort is exceptional for the location meaning: align your expectations and enjoy being in the heart of nature.

PRIMITIVO LODGE & dive center está en Bahía Solano y tiene jardín, terraza, bar y wifi gratis. El alojamiento dispone de instalaciones para banquetes y reuniones y karaoke. La calidez de Pipe, Juancho, Ly y todo el personal de primitivo, la comida deliciosa y las habitaciones muy cómodas , me gustó mucho que tuviera su mismo centro de buceo con espacios amplios y cómodos para vivir toda la experiencia completa. Excelente estado de los equipos de buceo y la calidad de enseñanza de Pipe y Juancho fue impecable, realmente saben comunicarse bajo el agua y lo mejor es que en cada inmersión están muy atentos . En resumen , una de mis experiencias favoritas en muuuucho tiempo, espero volver pronto para realizar la segunda certificación en Mero Buceo. Abrazos !!
