The guesthouse is on the outskirts of Kisoro and is set amidst a beautiful garden. The rooms are comfortable and have all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The breakfast (and in fact all the food we tried) complete with home-made bread, cakes and pastries is delicious. And Joseph is an amazing host - friendly, attentive and very flexible. Highly recommended!

I thank gorilla leisure lodge for the most exceptional hospitality and service. The team is incredibly helpful and thoughtful, the views are insane, the ambience serene and tranquil, the rooms are sparklingly clean and constantly refreshed. What a service! I highly recommend it to anyone gorilla trekking in Bwindi.

The views from the deck, the attentive staff - even providing hot water bottles each night when it got cold. Food was delicious. Was truly a home in the Jungle!

Ivan was an incredible host. Not only did he sort out my gorilla tracking excursion at a very reasonable price, but he also came to Rwanda to meet me and collect the money since the permit has to be paid for in cash. I was a little apprehensive about handing over that amount of money but he went out of his way to allay my concerns and I found him extremely trustworthy. He also helped me with my onward travel plans. I can't recommend him enough.

We had a wonderful stay at Rushaga Gorilla Lodge while traveling with our rooftop tent, and it exceeded all expectations! The lodge staff were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Even though we were camping, we were given access to the lodge’s excellent facilities, which were clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed. The location is perfect for gorilla trekking, with the starting point just a short distance away. The lodge’s peaceful surroundings, nestled in the heart of nature, provided a perfect place to relax and enjoy the beauty of the area before or after an adventurous day. We also appreciated the option to enjoy meals at the lodge – the food was fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. The staff were attentive, making sure we had everything we needed.

A wonderfull wiev over the lake. We did enjoy the atmosohere by the peacefull place. The food was tasty and healthy. We did prefere the local organic food which was made for us in the restaurant. Also the breakfest was splendid every morning. San was the chef who made tasty vegeterian food for us from local organig ingredients. Peace was the best ever as a waitress, as she was smiling and talking with us . The cottage we had was perfekt with the astonishing wy to the blue lake. We did watch the birds, the stars and we made a wonderfull boattrip on the lake. We had also a trip to a village of pygmis. At the last night we did see a flying star! Then we had the change to hope that we could come back here again! There was also time to make some jogapractising by own. We did read books. We did make meditation daily by ourselves. Also we had time to make watercoulourpainting by us selves of the landscapes. I tried to paint the landscapes which did very much remaind me of William Turners paintings Everything was organaised by a fantastic personal! We were kept so well that it felt almost like at home. The owner Edvard was so kind. He did organise everything for us. It was so nice to visite the pygmivillage and dance with them. Edvard took us to the border of Ruanda. He did help to get trough the formalities. Ores was the excellent guide on our boattrips! Ores took care of telling us how to behave at pygmivillage. He did also tell us very many stories about Uganda. Kampu was the expert to make campfire and drive the motorboat. He was always polite and helpful. Charkotte, the manager, was keeping everything in excellent hands. Always smiling and always helping in everything. With the experiencis of travelling more than hundred countries we do highly recommend this lovely gorgeous place Lake resort! We do both feel like new persons after spending four nights there!! Super peaceful/quiet location :)

This was my second stay and Gideon and Esther were as warm and welcoming as ever. The rooms are small but neat, tidy and clean and include an ample breakfast. They will also cook other meals if needed. It’s a convenient location, walking distance from the town centre. The hosts go out of their way to make you feel like you’re part of the family.
