We had a great stay at Hotel Sou. The room design is very modern - the raw concrete and industrial design elements, as well as the open floor concept connecting room, bathroom and balcony are really well done. You can see that the owner knows what he‘s doing and has a great eye for good design. The hotel is super well located and in close walking distance to some of Fukue‘s main sights, a bunch of restaurants/bakeries etc. Last but not least, the owner really went way and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable stay. He was always available for questions, helped us making reservations with restaurants and arrangements with a rental car company, etc. This helped us a lot, especially as English is not so widely spoken in Fukue/Goto.

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful house. Everything was perfect with a lot of detail features and esthetically done. Perfect to enjoy life, get some work done and exploring the beautiful island of Goto (Fukue Island). Top service level and excellency in many aspects. Our housekeeper was awesome and he showed us some amazing hidden places on the island. So friendly. We can highly recommend this place if you love nature, tranquility with a high value of life. The hotel design is beautiful. Stunning views of the beach. The communal bath was beautiful, we loved this. Staff were very lovely and tried their best with my poor Japanese skills! We hired a car there too, very convenient as this included pick up at the ferry/airport.
