Greg greeted us and upgraded our accommodation to their apartment overlooking the Market Square (above the shoe store). It was warm and bright, modern and very spacious, in great condition, extremely clean and comfortable, kitchen well-stocked with basics and more, large dining room with a table for 8, large-screen TV included paid subscriptions, jacuzzi tub separate from a very large walk-in shower (largest I've seen in Europe), washer and dryer, very very large sun room opening onto an equally large deck. Skylights for viewing the stars from the large master bedroom with a firm king bed with high-count linens. Thoughtful extra touches. Very quiet at night. In the morning we were charmed by a small farmers market. Friendly vendors and a font of local information, Mrs Murphy's scones were the best we had in 2 weeks. Coffey's Fish & Chips (fresh cut for both) were great. Great home base for the region. We'll be back if we're anywhere near the area!

We had an amazing weekend at the hotel. Brilliant location and view of the sea. Dinner and breakfast were both delicious. Lovely cocktails. Friendly and helpful staff. The bakery in the building made delicious bread, cakes, cookies, etc. Great coffee too. The bed was so comfortable. The shower was a rain head with lots of power.

We absolutely loved our stay at Palmgrove and really wished we had stayed there for more nights. The room was spacious and clean, the bed really comfy and the bathroom really good. The hosts were incredible and they even fixed our travel itinerary for us! Had we not visited the places they suggested, we would have missed out on many beautiful scenery.

A very warm welcome from the host’s sister who offered me a sandwich after a long journey. The house was superbly located with off road parking, a great view, the room was very quiet and comfortable with a lovely hot shower. Everything was very clean. Delicious self serve breakfast with a choice of things to eat. The host’s sister lives nearby so as a solo female traveller it was nice to know someone was on hand if needed. Also very relaxed around check out time. Really enjoyed my brief stay and it was a short onward trip to the Tarbert ferry

Setting was superb. 4 course (set) meal was offered for an additional fee, which we took advantage of avoiding having to leave the property with its beautiful surroundings. Enjoyed walking (minutes) to the other side of the island to the Shannon. Sat out in the family garden next to the pond enjoying (own) drink, as did other guests through the course of the evening. Enjoyed company of the cattle who you were the quietest known. Visited the castle ruin in the morning (10am-4pm secured and free) which was lovely before driving on.

The place is cozy and full of a caring family atmosphere. The hosts are easy to talk to. They prepared a vegan breakfast specialty for us, and we are super thankful for that! The room had a castle view and all the necessary facilities. Also, there was heating in April, which was amazing! And they have an adorable doggo!

This is a lovely place to spend the night! The host is super friendly and made us a delicious Irish breakfast with fresh orange juice, he even let us choose the time we wanted it served. The funny little dog (who put his nose in the dirt and didn't want it to be cleaned) followed us around the island during our morning walk while we watched the beautiful sunrise. Only one word is needed to describe this place: Grand!
