We liked everything about the hotel. We have stayed here 2 a year for the last 3 years. The staff are always pleasant and friendly. If we need help they would help us. The rooms are always clean and fresh. Warm in the winter and cool in the summer. The bed is comfortable and clean. The bathroom is very clean and the shower is great.

Position is excellent, in upper part of city and an easy walk to centre and cathedral. Quiet street. On Saturdays in summer they close off a section of the old town for festivities till 1am. Maison Seraphine is just far enough away not to hear the noise. Pierre is an excellent host Breakfast was great, with fresh fruit and you could squeeze your own fresh orange juice; Pierre even produced scrambled egg. The house is old and quaint but our room was comfortable and spacious with a good walk in shower. There does not seem to be a problem with parking right outside. We came by train. Take a #4 bus from the station and get off at St Martin, only 1.20 euro. Laon is well worth the visit with relatively few tourists. The cathedral is magnificent, must be one of the finest in France. Some good restaurants and if you want a lighter meal, try a platter from the Fromagerie des Remparts.

Fantastic house hidden within a working farm complex. Immaculate room, with a superb bathroom. My visit was in November and the weather was cold and miserable. I was travelling on my motorcycle, so it was a relief to arrive at lovely warm accommodation. I was met by the host and shown to a secure area to park my motorcycle (always a relief) Breakfast was amazing and included home made jams and delicious cheese from the farm The farm is situated in a tranquil and very beautiful region.
